Unfortunately, sometimes sad news has to be shared...
Laura Davis Doubera (graduated 1999) has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Rectal cancer that has spread to her liver. She is receiving treatment from Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, which is out of Laura's family's insurance network. Her insurance is paying for 60% of the very aggressive treatment and as you can imagine, Laura and her husband, Scott, are very worried about the mounting bills and the financial impact this will have on them. Scott has set up a website (www.laurasfight.com) to keep everyone informed and to track Laura's progress. They are also asking for your support in prayer. She has taken charge of a fund drive to help raise money for the Doubera family.
Laura, Scott , and son Lucas, along with her entire family are very hopeful and know that by the grace of God, Laura will get through this very difficult time.
