Update to Reunion Info

Wendy Baer McMillian just emailed to say that the Longwood KD girls ARE planning to have an Alumnae event the same weekend as the Decade of the 80's reunion!! Details have not been set, but the date has so MARK YOUR CALENDARS ALL KAPPA DELTAS!! If you need accomodations, see the post below about the Hampton Inn!

Everybody Wang Chung April 27-28th!!

Longwood College is having a "Decade of the 80's" Reunion for all graduates between the years 1980-1989 during the weekend of April 27th-28th, 2007. Kappa Delta Cindy Robertson will be heading up the hospitality room on Saturday (I'll add where that room will be when I find out myself!) and thought it would be great for all Kappa Deltas to meet up there. We can all decide closer to the date as to when we can meet up and how we will identify each other (anyone up for wearing their beautiful KD tshirt dress??). Alpha Chapter Still Needs Our Help

Alpha Chapter is still working to repay the loan taken out to revitalize our chapter room. The Chapter Advisory Board (CAB) members (pictured l to r: Kristina Robinson Barbier, Tracy Wergley Graebener, Wendy Baer McMillian, and Jennifer Vernon Fulk) are asking us to please make a donation, if possible, to help the chapter pay off the debt. If interested, email any of the CAB members!

Also, they wanted to mention that the chapter is planning an Alumnae event for Spring 2007. As soon as a date is set, they'll let us know! This is not to be confused with the Decade of the 80's Reunion that Longwood is sponsoring the weekend of April 28th, however it is possible that both reunions will be scheduled for the same weekend. Keep an eye out for udpated information!!

David and Lea Maier Tatum, along with big brother Hank, welcomed Ashley Elizabeth on September 24th. Lea likes the drama...it only took 30 minutes and one push after getting to the hospital for Ashley to arrive!!

Alpha Chapter is still working towards paying off their debt to Nationals for the loan made to renovate and redecorate the chapter room. The balance is currently $5000. Chapter Advisory Board Members Needed

Wendy Baer McMillian and Jennifer Vernon Fulk are currently the only members of the Chapter Advisory Board for the Longwood KDs and they are hoping to add a few more girls to the list. The duties would include:

• attending some chapter meetings (with at least 4 CAB members, attendance would be every other month)
• attending at least one night of Rush
• being available by phone or email if needed by the chapter (contact is usually minimal except for around Rush time)
• being a friend and "ear" to our younger Kappa Deltas

If you may be interested in joining Wendy and Jennifer as CAB members, please email them. Wendy and Jennifer, if I missed anything in the description of "duties" please let me know or post a comment!

Double Baby Sighting

Congratulations to Carrie Patterson Nowlan, husband Chris, and daughter Peyton. The family welcomed TWINS, Hadley (a girl) and Grant (a boy) on June 28th!! Hope you all are getting just a bit of sleep!!

Off to Iraq

Tracy Wergley Graebener's husband, Jonnie, is deploying for Iraq in August. Tracy and their son, Dylan, will be moving back to Virginia for the year that Jonnie will be away (her new address is below). Hi there! Here are the latest additions to the unofficial Alpha Chapter KD Alumnae Blog. I didn't get a whole lot of news back. If you forgot to send me your news, or I made a mistake in what I published, please let me know. I will add or update as necessary! I will also send out the KD contact list so please check to make sure your information is correct. If not, let me know and I'll correct it and send out the corrected copy.
