Kathleen Manning Holroyd has been tirelessly working to raise money for Laura Davis Doudera and her family to help offset the mounting bills related to Laura's fight against Stage IV Rectal Cancer. Kathleen spearheaded a cookbook fundraiser and is happy to let everyone know that the cookbooks are complete and will be mailed out anyday now. A BIG thank you to everyone that helped with the cookbook fundraiser to help Laura Davis Doudera and her family as she battles cancer. I was so excited as the recipes came rolling in. You will all be amazed when you see this thing. Over 200 recipes and several beautiful pages of dedications for Laura from her husband and best friend, Susan. Thank you to all that purchased the cookbooks, too. They are arriving to my home on Monday (May 7) and I will be boxing and shipping them to you next week. Two hundred must be our magic number because we sold that many surpassing our goal of 100 by a mile! With 100% of the profits going straight to their family we were able to send them a check for $1407 !! I have had the good fortune to get to know Laura by email these past few months and I have to tell you that she is one of the most inspirational, loving people I have ever "met"! I am excited to finally meet her face to face soon and I hope that those of you who don't know her get the chance to as well. I adore and love each of you and wish to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to make this so special!
